HEY YOU!

I'm Anjolie Ware, a graphic design and fashion marketing student at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Savannah, Georgia. I am inspired by the world that surrounds me in many ways more than one, but I am mostly fascinated by music, fashion, and surf culture. I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with experience in motion media, video editing, graphic design, and occasionally, I'll dabble in some concert photography ;) My work is eclectic, experimental, and most importantly, fun. My curious spirit runs wild when I am designing, whether it be poster design, branding, merch design, or editorial work.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I blend my passion for music, fashion, and visual arts to create compelling designs that resonate with audiences on an emotional level. Growing up so close to Philadelphia, I was captivated by the power of live music performances and the artistry behind music merchandise. This early exposure ignited my desire to pursue a career at the intersection of graphic design and fashion.

My creative process is deeply influenced by the emotive qualities of music and the visual language of fashion. I draw inspiration from patterns, textures, silhouettes, and colors, translating auditory experiences into visual narratives. This unique approach allows me to create designs that not only catch the eye but also evoke specific moods and tell stories.

My portfolio showcases my technical skills in graphic design and my ability to create visually striking works that reflect my passions for music and fashion. By incorporating fashion-inspired elements into my work, I create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally engaging.

My artwork explores solving problems from a new perspective. I want to further my experiences with graphic design and continue to create designs that are atypical and expressive of not only myself as an artist, but those I work with as well. When I am not creating digitally, I love working with mixed medias like magazines, fabric and vinyl to create vivid collages. I prioritize having my style transition seamlessly between both my digital work and my traditional work.

Although my style is constantly evolving, bold and colorful designs have always stayed consistent. In the future, I hope to work with brands that align with me and my morals. Creating vibrant, eye-catching branding for companies is my goal. I take inspiration from current graphic designers such as Kel Lauren and Andrew Azizov. Both designers use bold typefaces and a vintage feel, something I love incorporating into my style. Altogether, my work aligns as one, cohesive piece as a familiar style crosses over all of my digital pieces.

I am currently furthering my education in Graphic Design at Savannah College of Art and Design to eventually work in the professional design world. As well as leave an impact on the companies/brands I work with. My art will continue to evolve as I am constantly learning new things.
